The Journey to Eden: Faith, Loss, and the Purpose That Carries Me
Some people know me as S. Kell Simmons. Others know me as the Juice Guy. Both names belong to the same journey—and there is more behind that journey than a bottle can tell.
In April 2026, Oowee Mobile Nutrition & Wellness reached eight years. Eight years of showing up, serving customers, traveling beyond Western New York, and carrying a simple mission: Fueling Individuals’ Wellbeing, The Holistic Way. Every pop-up and every conversation has given me another opportunity to connect with people. The highs have been meaningful. The road to them has asked something of me, too.
This year, that road led through grief. I lost my brother, Micheall, then my mother, Sheila Rogers, and my father, Robert L. Simmons. There are losses you can name in a sentence that take far longer to carry. Behind the business updates and the familiar smile is a son and a brother still learning how to move forward.
I am sharing that because it belongs to my story. Building a wellness business does not exempt me from needing care, rest, prayer, or room to grieve. It has made the word wellbeing feel more personal.
One scripture I return to is 3 John 1:2: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” (KJV)
That verse gives me something to think about beyond what is in the bottle. How am I tending to my soul? What am I carrying while I help others care for themselves? And what does it look like to keep serving when my own life is changing?
Those questions are part of my journey to Eden.
For me, Back 2 Eden represents a return to what nourishes: faith, natural tools, intention, and care. It is a direction I can keep choosing, even on days when I do not have every answer. The work grows through juices and wellness products, through creativity, and through the people who keep meeting me along the way.
There are chapters I am still finding the words to tell. There are ideas taking shape that I am excited to share. What comes next will carry what these eight years have taught me—and what this year has asked me to learn.
If you have supported Oowee, shared a word of encouragement, or trusted me to be part of your wellness routine, thank you. You are part of this journey.
I am still walking toward Eden. I hope you will walk with me.
